For the last few weeks, I’ve been experiencing hybrid working for the first time – I have to say I’m really enjoying it and this is why... For me, it's a tale of two offices: the first my home study. Small, compact... just me and the terrarium! It's great when I want to get my head down and concentrate, or when I need to work different hours to the usual; it's my space for contemplating things, or, let's be honest, when I'm not feeling like a social animal or the commute is proving difficult. The second is I Creation's new office at the historic Spode site in Stoke. It's a great place to collaborate with colleagues, to bounce ideas off one another and have off-the-cuff moments of joint inspiration. It's a superb place to network and share ideas with neighbouring creative businesses. It's a real draw for customers and an accessible location to hold key meetings. Splitting the week between the two provides a flexible framework that just feels right to me. It's the same with colleagues. And the bottom line – production's up, our customer base is expanding, individuals feel more incentivised and work-life balance is just right.
